A Good Recovery After Heart Surgery

This is the sender’s own account, sent to us after their prayer was carried in. It is not a promise that the same will happen for anyone else.
Dear Fr. Marco,
A few weeks ago, I asked you to carry my prayer for my father into St. Peter's. He was facing open-heart surgery, and I was so scared for him. I just wanted him to have peace and strength, and for the doctors' hands to be steady.
You sent me the photograph of the card there. I showed it to my father in his hospital room the night before his operation. He held it and just nodded. He’s a quiet man.
The surgery went as well as the doctors could have hoped. His recovery in the hospital was steady. He’s home now, and each day he is a little stronger. The fear I carried is gone, replaced by a deep gratitude. It feels like a weight has been lifted from our whole family.
Thank you and your team for carrying our worry to that holy place. It meant more than I can say.
