Dear Fr. Marco, I wrote to you in the autumn to ask that you carry a prayer to St. Peter's for my upcoming spinal surgery and for a smooth healing process. The worry was heavy, and I felt very alone. I sent the prayer to your team, and the photograph of the card arrived the week before I went into the hospital. Since the operation, my recovery has been steady. The pain is less each week, and I am managing physical therapy better than the doctors expected. There is still a long road, but I feel a sense of calm I did not have before.
