Healing After a Difficult Surgery

Dear Fr. Marco, I wrote to you last autumn, asking you to carry a prayer for my healing into St. Peter's. It was for my recovery from a major spinal surgery. The pain and the fear were very heavy. I sent the prayer to your team, and I kept the photograph you sent on my nightstand. In the weeks and months that followed, my recovery has been steady. The physical therapy has been bearable, and I am walking without aid now. The doctors are pleased. I feel a deep sense of peace about it all that I didn't have before. I don't know how to explain it, but I wanted to thank you for carrying that prayer for me. It felt like a light in a very dark time. With gratitude,
