My Healing Journey After Surgery

Dear Fr. Marco, I wanted to write to you about my husband, John. When he was scheduled for major heart surgery last month, I felt so helpless. I wrote out a prayer for his safety and for the surgeon's hands, and sent it to your team to be carried into St. Peter's. The surgery went as well as could be hoped. His recovery has been steady, and he came home from the hospital last week. He still gets tired easily, but each day he seems a little stronger. When I showed him the photograph of our prayer card there in the basilica, he just smiled and held my hand. I believe being able to send that prayer gave us a sense of peace we really needed.
