My Son Found His Way Through the Darkness

This is the sender’s own account, sent to us after their prayer was carried in. It is not a promise that the same will happen for anyone else.
Dear Fr. Marco, I wrote to you last fall asking you to carry a prayer for my son. He was in a very dark place, struggling so much with despair and anxiety that I feared for him every day. I sent you his name and the prayer for protection and peace. I have kept the photograph of the card on my kitchen windowsill. In the months since, I have watched a slow change come over him. He started talking to a counselor. He has begun to smile again, a real smile. He told me last week that he feels the weight is lighter now, that he can see a way forward. I don't know what tomorrow brings, but today he is here and he is trying. Thank you for carrying our prayer when I felt I had no strength left to carry it myself. Sincerely,
