This is the sender’s own account, sent to us after their prayer was carried in. It is not a promise that the same will happen for anyone else.
Dear Fr. Marco and your team,
Last month, I sent you a prayer card for my sister. I carried a plea for her healing from the aggressive cancer that was found in her lung. I was so afraid, and all I could do was ask for strength and mercy. You carried that prayer into St. Peter’s for me.
A few weeks after I received the photograph from you, she went for a new set of scans. Her doctor called it a surprise. The main tumor had begun to shrink. It was small, but it was real. The treatments she is on seem to be working better now. She has more energy and less pain. We are taking it one day at a time, but there is a quiet hope in our house that wasn’t there before.
Thank you for carrying our worry to that holy place. It felt like a weight was shared.
