Answered Prayers for Mental Health and Recovery
Peace and Hope Found in the Darkness

This is the sender’s own account, sent to us after their prayer was carried in. It is not a promise that the same will happen for anyone else.
Dear Fr. Marco, I want to thank you. Last autumn, I was in a very dark place. My mind was a storm of anxiety and despair that I couldn't quiet. For myself, I sent a prayer for peace and for the strength to carry on. When I received the photograph of my Holy Card held up in St. Peter's, I simply sat with it for a long time. It felt like an anchor. I can't say everything is perfect now, but something shifted. The constant, screaming panic has softened to a manageable whisper. I am seeing a counselor regularly, which I had put off for years. I get out of bed each morning. I can breathe again. I don't know if it was the act of sending the prayer, or seeing it there in that holy place, but it opened a door to a little light. Thank you for your quiet service. Your team provided a gentle hand when I needed one most.
