Peace and Strength Through Treatment

Dear Fr. Marco and your team, I wrote to you some weeks ago. I asked you to carry a prayer for my sister who was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. The doctors had given her a difficult road ahead. I sent the prayer card with her name and a plea for courage for her and wisdom for her doctors. After you sent the photograph from St. Peter's, something settled in me. I felt a stillness I hadn't known since her diagnosis. My sister began her treatments. They have been hard, as we knew they would be. But her spirit is strong. She has not been alone in this. Our family has found a way to be together in it, without as much fear. Her latest scans showed the treatment is working as hoped. We are so grateful. Thank you for carrying our prayer to that holy place. It was a light in a dark time.
