Dear Fr. Marco and your team, I wrote to you last month asking if you could carry a prayer for my upcoming surgery. It was for a major spinal fusion, and I was so frightened. I sent the card with my prayer for steady hands for the surgeons and for my own courage. When the photograph arrived, showing my words right there in St. Peter's, I felt a quietness I hadn't known in months. The fear didn't vanish, but it wasn't in charge anymore. I had the surgery last week. The doctors said everything went perfectly, better than they expected. My recovery has been hard, but I am making progress every day. I keep the photograph by my bed. Thank you for carrying my worry all that way. It made a world of difference.
