Surgeon Said Surgery Went Better Than He Had Ever Seen

Dear Fr. Marco,
I wanted to write to you about my husband. I carried a prayer for him. He was going in for a very complicated spinal surgery. The doctors were very worried about the risks and the long recovery. I sent the prayer to your team, asking for guidance for his surgeons and strength for him.
When he came out of surgery, the surgeon came to see me. He said he had never seen a procedure go so smoothly. Everything they hoped to do, they could do. There were no complications. My husband’s pain has been manageable, and his recovery so far has been steady. He is already doing more than they thought he would be at this point.
I don’t know how to explain it, except to say I felt a great peace after I received the photograph from St. Peter’s. Thank you for carrying our prayer.
