The Cancer Has Not Returned

Dear Fr. Marco, I sent you a prayer card for my husband, Tom, back in February. He had finished his treatments for pancreatic cancer and we were waiting for his first follow-up scans. We just wanted a prayer for strength and for the cancer to stay away. I wanted the prayer to be in St. Peter's, a place that has always felt like a spiritual home for us even though we are so far away in America. You sent me the photo of the card in the Basilica, and I keep it on our kitchen windowsill. His scans last month were clear. The cancer has not returned. The doctors are very pleased. I know the journey is long and we must remain vigilant, but this is a huge blessing. Thank you for your service and the quiet work your team does. It brought us a deep sense of peace.
