This is the sender’s own account, sent to us after their prayer was carried in. It is not a promise that the same will happen for anyone else.
Dear Fr. Marco,
I sent a prayer for my wife, Eleanor, who was having a very hard time after her last round of treatment. The weakness was so bad she could barely get from the bed to the chair. I asked your team to carry a prayer for her strength and peace into St. Peter's.
When the photograph of the card arrived, we put it on her bedside table. She said it was a comfort, a little piece of something solid to hold onto. Slowly, bit by bit, her strength has been returning. Last week, she walked with me to the end of our driveway and back without needing to stop. It wasn't far, but it was everything. She is more at peace, too, facing what comes next.
Thank you for carrying our prayer. It meant more than I can say.
