You calmed the storm on the sea; calm the storm within me. Let me feel your presence, which is greater than all my fears. Grant me the courage that comes from trusting in you.

For Peace of Heart

God, my refuge and my strength, I come to you afraid. Anxiety wraps around my mind and worry tightens its grip on my heart. I cannot see the path ahead. Is it a sin to feel afraid? No. Fear is a human emotion. Jesus himself experienced fear in the garden. What matters is where we take that fear—into isolation, or into prayer and trust in God.
